The Heart of Aethelmar
The Great Courtyard is the first true threshold of the Academy. From here, students can see the House Towers, the Hall of Chronicles, the Great Hall, and the paths that lead deeper into Aethelmar’s older structures.
At its centre stands the Great Ash, its branches spreading over stone paths, balconies and watchful windows. Many students believe the courtyard is simply a meeting place. Older records suggest it was designed as a crossroads of choice, memory and House allegiance.
